After You is a 2002 Macgregor Sailboat. It features water ballast, standing headroom, built in galley and enclosed head. Add to that, a king sized bed, ample storage and a walk thru transom, it's a very comfortable boat. What really makes this boat unique is that it's a power sailor. It is rated up to a 50HP motor and will cruise at 14 knots under power loaded with gear. However, because of the planing hull it's not the fastest sailboat, hence the name.

We're cruisers, not racers.  So, no hurries, no worries.

Owing to the 9" draft the above picture shows how we typically beach.  (Lake Mead) Notice the transom seat is in the up position. Anchor off the bow and back into shore, step off and secure the boat. This makes boarding very easy. Depending on the cove, because of potential high winds and the high freeboard of the Macgregor we sometimes tie off with 4 lines plus the anchor. We like sleeping thru the night.

Boat with motor and gear weighs in at about 3600 pounds. Trailoring the Macgregor is a light chore for most trucks. The water ballast adds 1500 lbs to the weight of the boat which of course is drained before trailoring.
