Stephanie and I are located in landlocked Boise Idaho and the idea of owning a sailboat never crossed my mind. In 1998 we got invited to spend a weekend on a friends sailboat moored at American Falls Idaho. Of course it rained all weekend but I couldn't quit smiling long enough to notice. Our first boat was a Catalina 22. We realized that we really like time on the water so in 2002 we opted for a bigger boat. This year we added a boat dog named Saylor. He was such a cute little pound puppy, but now we need a bigger boat.
We've trailor sailed all over the West. We would like to share our experiences and beauty of this remarkable country. Their's nothing like seeing different places from the water, having your own private cove to night in, empty trails to hike, and new sights to see. Their are gems in every state and as we explore, we'll post photos and info here.
We sail a 2002 Macgregor 26x with many modifications. More about this versatile little boat later.
